How did you attract/address your audience
We initially reached our audience
by creating a blog. This blog followed our progress from Production to distribution;
this allowed our audience to see each stage of our production. Our audience
could follow our journey on many separate sites, such as Blogger, Google+ and YouTube.
This allows the audience to consume our produce, such as our final film, raw
footage and our teaser trailer; this helps to create hype about our thriller
opening sequence.
Our
teaser trailer was made of editing clips and photos put into black and white
with a light blue tint. Some clips had been sped up and slowed down to make the
scene more intense to allow an audience in, by creating an enigma.
We also made a teaser poster;
this was created using a Photoshoped image taken on the day with the film title
and release date added on. This would be distributed to gain a multiplex
audience as the dark theme will interest Thriller film lovers.
We took several photos at the
train and village site that we posted on the blog to help show our progression
and attract an audience.
We made a questionnaire to ensure
we knew what our target audience would like to see in a Thriller film. To get a
large audience we complied to their wishes and included all the aspects that we
found to be most popular so the majority of our target audience would want to
watch our film.
We also studied several places we
could exhibit our film as independent producers that do not have a conglomerate
to use synergy to help us exhibit in cinemas.
This, overall, helped us reach our target audience through the distribution of our film.
