Teaser Trailer

I decided to create a small teaser-type trailer, using iMovie as my editor. I used a combination of photographs and videos to create a suspenseful trailer sequence which does not give away much about the storyline. I think this is an effective way to grab potential audiences attention as they may see the trailer and then be inclined to watch our film.  I used sound to create tension by using a mixture of sound effects such as sound of a train which I slowed down and turn down the volume so that it can just be heard, I also used a ticking of a clock to add suspense but also because it links to our storyline. Some of the footage I sped up to build tension and other slowed down to create to draw the viewers attention to the character in the shot. I also edited each clip and photo so that they are all black and white to create a dark and mysterious atmosphere to the trailer.
