Alfred Hitchcock
Alfred Hitchcock pioneered the use of a camera made to move in a way that mimics a person's gaze which helped to build suspense with the viewer as they had never seen such a technique as it was new to the filming world. Another technique Hitchcock was famous for was his framing of shots, this is because he framed each shot to maximise anxiety, fear and empathy which was one of the reasons for Hitchcock's success in the thriller genre. Due to his new and creative way of creating suspense he earn't the nickname 'the master of suspense'. In his long career as director Hitchcock directed more than fifty feature films in his long running career of six decades. Some people argue that Alfred Hitchcock is Britain's greatest filmmaker, this is the reason why we decided too research into him as he has had a large influence to the thrillers we watch today.
