The Film Industry Process


Production- Getting the rights to film and the funding to shoot it. Making sure a script is put together as well as having actors, locations and every aspect of the filming process organised.

Distribution- The process of selling this product to audiences via the cinemas, retailers, and rental firms. Marketing the film is very important. Making sure there is a deal with the cinemas (e.g. cineworld) so they can show your film to the public.

Exhibition- The cinema which screens the film for the general public.

Consumption- (After the cinema) - How the film is released for example: DVD’s, blue rays, box office, Netflix, and file sharing.
