Christopher Nolan

Christopher Nolan is an English-American thriller director, he uses techniques in his films to reflect the mental state of the characters. Examples of his previous films he has directed are: The Dark Knight, The Prestige and Inception.


Christopher Nolan was born in London 1970 and began making films at the young age of just 7. Nolan's first successful film he directed was the 1998 "Following" which was the starting point for his long and successful career as a film director.


He created several of the most successful films of the early 21st century. His nine films have grossed over $4 billion worldwide and garnered a total of 21 Oscar nominations and six awards.

 Having made his directorial debut with Following in 1998, he gained considerable attention for his second feature, Memento in 2000. Following the success of these independent films, he was able to receive the opportunity to make the big-budget thriller Insomnia in 2002.
